Beeville facebook
There's a new "ville" game on Facebook, and it's not related to FarmVille or Zynga's other 'ville' games. Beeville launched on October 20, and its a game that lets you house your own honeybees. The game, made by Playkoko, is an interesting take on an aquarium game and when you play, you'll notice that it basically feels like FishVille sans water and fish.
Players can buy different types of bees that provide varied XP bonuses. These bees mature over time, and require feeding in order to stay healthy and keep growing. There are all sorts of silly bees, including a Gaga Bee (who looks similar to Lady Gaga) and a Punk Bee. You can level up by buying new kinds of bees, and upgrade your beehive with different style hives and new backgrounds. The in-game store sells oodles of decorations as well.
Overall, a simulation game starring bees is an interesting idea, but it'd be hard to call BeeVille anything other than a me-too Facebook game at this point. We're not sure why we'd choose to play this over the far superior games that seem to be popping up left and right. Give Beeville a shot and see if it gets you 'buzzing.'
